Nikki Brantley
Nikki has been dancing since the age of three. Her dance career started when she was accepted as a member of the Sumter Civic Dance Company. She was so inspired by her teacher she decided to attend Columbia College for dance. After college she opened her own dance studio and taught students from ages two to adult in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and ballroom. After finding that she had a passion for costume design and sewing she left the studio and was accepted to college again for her B.F.A. in Fashion Merchandising. Her final portfolio focused on the extensive construction process of professional ballet tutu making. She now resides in Summerville with her husband and son and enjoys working in both the dance studio with us and as a designer for a children's company. She also works with clients as a seamstress for her own business Brikk South Designs. She is so excited to be working with our students and hopes to help them realize their artistic potential!
Katie Wilkinson
Katie was born and raised in Anderson, SC. Started training in artistic gymnastics at the age of 3 and was a competitive gymnast for 13 years, winning several titles during her career, including 4 consecutive All Around State Championships in South Carolina (1997-2000), 1999 All Around Southeastern Regional Champion, 1999 USAIGC National Floor Exercise Champion, 2000 USAIGC National Balance Beam, Floor Exercise, and All Around Champion. After retiring from competitive gymnastics, she started coaching gymnasts, levels 4-9 during high school and college. She graduated in 2008 with a BS in Exercise Science from Lander University. She has always had a passion for physical activity stemming from her gymnastics career. After graduation she moved to Charleston where she met her husband, Cory. After having their daughter, Penelope, in 2016 they moved to Summerville. She is currently the Wellness Director for The Village at Summerville, Presbyterian Community of SC. She loves this town and is so excited to be involved in the community, and is looking forward to bringing her gymnastics background to the students of Magnolia Dance Academy!
Brandy Blaha
Brandy has a BFA from Wayne State university where she graduated in 2007. Brandy, her Husband Matt, and daughter Ricky moved to our area just a few years ago. Brandy brings to our studio a fabulous background of tap, jazz. Ballet, musical theater and hip hop. She is a wonderful performer, having performed in BB King's "Broadway Underground", Tap City's "Tap it Out", Norman Thomas Theater's "Tap Extravaganza" and Summer Stage's "Smooth Criminal". She is a performance driven teacher and brings to our studio the knowledge and leadership to educate our students on how to best perform. 
Heather Merritt
Heather grew up in Atlanta, Georgia where she began dancing at the Atlanta School of Ballet. At the age of thirteen Heather was chosen to be a company dancer with the Atlanta Ballet II, a pre-professional company to the Atlanta Ballet. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet Performance from the University of Utah. After graduation Ms. Merritt began her professional career dancing in the outdoor musical drama, Utah!,  and continued for over a decade to dance professionally with the Charleston Ballet Theatre, the Maryland Ballet, The National Ballet, and the International Ballet at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Since the age of nineteen Heather has taught simultaneously for private dance studios while maintaining a professional dance career. Her area of expertise covers a vast array of dance genres and in 2007 she was awarded Best Ballet Technique Driven Instructor of Memphis, Tennessee by Destined 2 Dance. In 2007, Heather returned to Charleston, South Carolina, to continue her teaching career. In addition to her teaching credits, Ms. Merritt is a certified South Carolina educator. 
Aimée Phelan-Deconinck
Aimee is originally from Buffalo, NY. She is classically trained in Ballet, Modern, and acting performing nationally and internationally. As a teacher, she has taught theatre and dance in college settings as well as locally ranging in ages from 3 years old to young adults.  Aimee has attended many schools to improve her knowledge, Marymount College, Tarrytown; Columbia University, NYC; Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, UK; The Martha Graham Center of Contemporary Dance, NYC; and The School of American Ballet.  She won the Denver Post 2005 Ovation Award for Best Actress as Olivia in a comedy - Twelfth Night.  She has also been awarded One of Time Out New York's "Best of 2008." Outside of dancing and acting she enjoys swimming, Bikram Yoga, hiking, music, and literature.
Allie Williams
Originally from Amarillo, Texas, Allie found her passion for dance at the young age of six. She has trained in lyrical, ballet, pointe, modern, contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, musical theater and tap as well as in acrobatics and gymnastics. Allie began her dance training by participating in competitive dance at the “Edge Dance Studio” in Amarillo, Texas under the instruction of Stacie Hall for 6 years. She also trained at “SB Dance Academy/ Amarillo Performing Arts Center” under the instruction of Schae Burley where she also trained in competitive dance and competed at many nationally recognized competitions. In 2009, only a sophomore in high school, Allie co-founded the “Tascosa High School Belle’s”, where she was appointed Co-Captain. The Belle's performed at pep rallies and various performances all over the city. In 2010, Allie was accepted into the “Landance Conservatory of Ballet” under the instruction of Mark Lanham (of Ballet West and San Francisco Ballet) and his wife Stephanie Parker (of Pennsylvania Ballet and Empire State Ballet) where she performed professionally in several recognized ballets. In 2011 Allie was hired as a professional dancer for the “Venom Vixens Cheerleaders”. Allie then graduated from high school early with honors and in late 2012 relocated to Charleston, SC. She continued her professional dance career at “Dancefx of Charleston”. Allie choreographs for several of their professional companies and original shows. In June 2015 Allie was hired as a professional dancer for the “Charleston Performing Arts Center” where she premiered in several Broadway musicals and productions. She has also worked and choreographed for the NFL Jacksonville Jaguars Cheerleaders. In 2016 Allie received her certification for Social Media Marketing and Website Design. She has designed sufficient websites for dance studios and runs multiple social media accounts for clients. Allie currently teaches at studios in the Charleston area as well as teaching master classes all over the Lowcountry. Teaching all ages of recreational and competitive dance, Allie also choreographs and directs competitive teams and performance companies. She brings creative choreography and cutting edge dance instruction specializing in Contemporary, Femme Hip-Hop and Street Jazz. Her choreography has been awarded and recognized at several national dance competitions and is proud to have received many “Judges Choice” “Intensity” and “Outstanding Choreography” awards. Allie continues her dance education at world wide dance conventions as well as local classes in the Charleston area. She currently dances professionally with "Holy City Sirens". Allie wants to continue to grow and share her creativity and passion for dance by training students to become well rounded dancers and individuals.
